Yep, that is my guess too. 10 years ago I was diagnosed with a Medial Meniscus Tear in the right knee. I opted not to have the surgery.
I've been able to milk 10 years out of this and now I am getting pain on the lateral meniscus. Guess it is time to get it looked at again.
3 months ago I stopped taking Glucosamine to see if my LDL cholesterol would drop since there seems to be a fairly decent body of knowledge now that Glucosamine might raise LDL.
Maybe it wasn't such a great idea, maybe it isn't even related. Who really knows? ...

Sounds like meniscus. Sorry. Coming from a health-care provider. See an orthopaedic doctor.

Having ran x-c in high school, I can empathize with the shin splints issue. I had never heard of blind running before, however. I didn't believe such a thing could exist when I first read it. I'm wowed. Props.

I do not recommend a starter kit, but real, live, organic Kefir Grains. 'Real-Man-of-Genius' is a well-rated, legitimate seller of Kefir grains through Amazon. He charges roughly ten bucks for a handful of grains which, if treated well, will soon explode into a veritable mountain of mature grains (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000ZTG4UG/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new). My own experience with the grains has been positive in every respect. I produce one quart of Kefir a day and regularly consume excess grains, many of which are the size of golf balls.

I can't recommend anything, I am not a Doc.
Personally, it hurt mine too but I did what I wanted.
Check with a doc or your PT
